How to use every tool

Every Convertoza tool works the same simple way: upload → choose → convert → download. Here's exactly how each one works.

Privacy first: every tool except the AI Assistant processes files entirely on your device — nothing is uploaded.

Universal Converter (Homepage)

The fastest way to convert a file. It detects your file type automatically and suggests the best output formats.

  1. 1Drag & drop a file onto the converter card, or click to browse.
  2. 2Convertoza detects the file type (e.g. PNG image, DOCX document).
  3. 3Pick the output format from the dropdown (JPG, PDF, TXT…).
  4. 4Adjust optional settings like quality or page range.
  5. 5Click Convert, then Download your result.
  6. 6For multiple files, use the Batch section — convert all and download as one ZIP.

Tips

  • You can add several files at once and convert them all together.
  • Nothing is uploaded — conversion happens on your device.

Image Workspace

Edit and convert images: resize, crop, rotate, flip, change format, compress, and remove hidden metadata.

  1. 1Open Tools → Image Workspace and drop in your image.
  2. 2Choose a tab: Resize, Crop, Rotate & Flip, Format, Quality, or Metadata.
  3. 3Adjust the controls — you see a live before/after preview with file sizes.
  4. 4Click Apply/Export, then Download the result.

Tips

  • Use Format to convert between PNG, JPG, WebP, BMP, ICO and GIF.
  • Use Strip Metadata before sharing photos — it removes location and camera info.
  • Quality tab shows exactly how much smaller the file becomes.

PDF Toolkit

A complete PDF toolbox: convert to images or text, merge, split, rotate, compress, and add watermarks.

  1. 1Open Tools → PDF Toolkit and upload your PDF — page thumbnails appear.
  2. 2Pick a tab: To Images, To Text, Merge, Split, Rotate, Compress, or Watermark.
  3. 3Select the pages you want to work on (for split/rotate).
  4. 4Run the action and download the result — images come as a ZIP.

Tips

  • PDF to TXT works on searchable PDFs. For scanned PDFs, use the OCR tool instead.
  • Merge accepts multiple PDF files at once — add them in the order you want.
  • Watermark lets you type any text (e.g. CONFIDENTIAL) across every page.

Documents

Convert Word documents and text files: DOCX to PDF/HTML/TXT, and TXT, Markdown, or HTML to PDF.

  1. 1Open Tools → Documents and upload your file (DOCX, TXT, MD, or HTML).
  2. 2Choose the output: PDF, HTML, or plain TXT.
  3. 3Click Convert and download the finished document.

Tips

  • DOCX to PDF keeps headings, lists, and tables readable.
  • Markdown to PDF is great for turning notes into shareable documents.

Spreadsheets

Convert Excel and CSV data: XLSX to CSV/JSON/PDF, and CSV to XLSX — with a live table preview.

  1. 1Open Tools → Spreadsheets and upload your XLSX or CSV file.
  2. 2Pick the sheet you want from the sheet selector — a table preview appears.
  3. 3Choose the output format: CSV, JSON, XLSX, or PDF.
  4. 4Click Convert and download.

Tips

  • XLSX to JSON is useful for developers — each row becomes a JSON object.
  • XLSX to PDF renders your sheet as a clean table for printing or sharing.

OCR (Text from Images & Scans)

Extract editable text from photos, screenshots, and scanned PDFs — right in your browser.

  1. 1Open the OCR tool and upload an image or a scanned PDF.
  2. 2Choose the language the text is written in (English, Urdu, Arabic…).
  3. 3Click Start OCR — progress is shown page by page.
  4. 4Edit the extracted text if needed, then Copy or Download as TXT.

Tips

  • Important: the language selector is for READING the text, not translating it. An English CV must be scanned with English selected.
  • To translate the result into Urdu or another language, copy the text into the AI Assistant.
  • Clear, high-contrast images give the best results.

AI Assistant

Summarize, translate, rewrite, and ask questions about your documents using AI.

  1. 1Open the AI Assistant and upload a document (PDF, DOCX, TXT…).
  2. 2The text is extracted on your device — only the text is sent for AI processing.
  3. 3Pick a quick action: Summarize, Key Points, Study Notes, Rewrite, or Translate.
  4. 4Or type your own question about the document in the chat box.
  5. 5Copy or download the AI's answer.

Tips

  • This is the only tool that sends data (text only — never the file) to a server for AI processing.
  • Translate first extracts your document's text, then rewrites it in the language you choose.

Compress

Shrink images and PDFs to save space or meet upload size limits.

  1. 1Open the Compress tool and drop in images or a PDF.
  2. 2Choose a mode: Smallest size, Balanced, or Best quality.
  3. 3See exactly how many KB/MB you saved.
  4. 4Download each file or grab everything at once.

Tips

  • Balanced mode is the best choice for most images — big savings, no visible difference.
  • Great for email attachments and website uploads with size limits.
