- Where are my files uploaded to?
- Nowhere. Every conversion happens inside your browser tab using client-side JavaScript. Your files never leave your device.
- Is there a file size limit?
- There is no hard server-side limit because files never leave your browser. Very large files may be slow depending on your device memory.
- Why isn't DOCX to PDF pixel-perfect?
- DOCX to PDF is a text-first conversion using Helvetica. Layout, fonts, images, and tables are not preserved — this is by design for a browser-only, no-upload conversion.
- Can I convert scanned PDFs?
- Scanned PDFs require OCR. Use the dedicated OCR tool at /ocr which runs locally in your browser using Tesseract.js.
- Do you support batch conversion?
- Yes — batch conversion is available on the homepage converter for supported formats.
- Is Convertoza open source?
- The converter engine is a thin wrapper around open libraries: pdf.js, pdf-lib, Mammoth, SheetJS, and jsPDF.
- Does Convertoza upload my files to a server?
- No. Every conversion runs entirely inside your browser using WebAssembly and standard browser APIs. Files never touch our servers.
- Do you track the contents of my files?
- No. We don't inspect, log, or store file contents. Only anonymous page-view counts are collected.
- Which image formats are supported?
- PNG, JPG, WebP, BMP, GIF, SVG and ICO — convert between any pair, without signing in.
- Can I convert PDF to Word (DOCX)?
- Not yet. PDF → TXT and PDF → PNG are supported today. True PDF → DOCX requires layout reflow that isn't reliable in-browser.
- Do you support HEIC or RAW images?
- Not currently. HEIC and camera RAW formats require heavier decoders. Convert them to JPG on your device first, then use Convertoza.
- How many files can I convert per day?
- Verified accounts get 20 conversions per 24 hours. Anonymous users get 3. Image conversions don't require sign-in.
- Is there a file-size limit?
- No hard cap, but files above ~200 MB may be slow because your browser holds them in memory during conversion.
- Can I convert multiple files at once?
- Yes — use the Batch converter on the home page. Pick a target format per file and download individually or as a ZIP.
- Do I need an account?
- Only for non-image formats (PDF, DOCX, spreadsheets). Image conversion works without an account.
- How do I reset my password?
- Visit /auth, switch to the Login tab, and use 'Forgot password'. A reset link is emailed to you.
- Can I delete my account?
- Yes. Sign in, open Profile, scroll to the Danger zone, and confirm deletion. This removes your profile and conversion history.
- Which browsers are supported?
- Any modern browser: Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari, and their mobile equivalents from the last two years.
- Does Convertoza work offline?
- Once loaded, most conversions continue to work offline because they run locally. The initial page load requires a network connection.
- Is the code open source?
- The converter engine is a thin wrapper around open-source libraries: pdf.js, pdf-lib, Mammoth, SheetJS, jsPDF, and fflate.
